Description
Meeting time and place: 08.45 (am) outside, close to Magic Ice bar, next to Bus Terminal Prostneset in Tromsø -Look for a minibus. The driver will have a sign saying "North Experience". Google Maps (address: Samuel Arnesens gate 4, 9008 Tromsø) This is where your scenic transfer (approx. 75 minutes) to the snowmobile camp in the Signaldalen area starts.
A snowmobile trip on a 20 km track
Welcome to our basecamp in Hatteng! We first get dressed in warm winter clothes (thermal suits, boots, mittens and balaclava) and we equip you with a helmet. We also give you instructions about how to safely drive the snowmobile. All geared up and comfortably seated on your snow scooter, off you go for a 2-hour guided snowmobile tour! Two guests will share each snowmobile and take turns driving. Follow your experienced guide on a safe and varied 20 km track through the gorgeous area of Tamok/Signaldalen *. We will make stops during the trip so you can take photos of this winter wonderland.
Relax and enjoy the winter scenery a bit longer
After your snowmobile adventure, you will be invited to the warm and cosy barn house. Warm up and enjoy a delicious hot meal (vegetarian option available on request). After relaxing and warming up, it is time to head back to Tromso.
The tour is 9 hours in total, with about 2 hours of snowmobiling. You will be back in Tromsø around 6pm.
Please note:
- Guests under 18 and guests without a driving licence are not allowed to drive.
- * This tour is subject to weather and snow conditions. Owing to these conditions, the location of the activity can be in the areas of Tamok, Skibotn or Signaldalen (in the Storfjord/Lyngenfjord area).
- If conditions change, we reserve the right to amend the time spent on the snowmobile.
- The minimum age is 12 years old + height requirement for the excursion is 140 cm.
This adventure includes:
- Scenic transfer by comfortable bus (approx. 75 min each way - * though extra transfer time can be added due to transfer to another area due to lack of snow/snow quality at Skibotn area)
- Knowledgeable English-speaking snowmobile guide
- 1,5 - 2 hours of snowmobiling (2 people share each snowmobile)
- Thermal winter suits, winter boots, mittens and balaclava
- Safety helmet
- Hot drinks and hot meal (vegetarian option available on request)
- Warm indoor seating
Time schedule:

- You will arrive in Hatteng at 10:15, right next to the North Experience Basecamp
- Return to Tromsø: Departure at 16:10 and return to Tromsø ca 17:25
